Research Environmental Impacts \\  Study Tropical Ecology & Conservation  \\  Visit Indigenous Community  \\  Explore Panama City \\ Track your journey with GPS

This unique interdisciplinary study abroad course will allow you to study environmental issues, tropical conservation, and the status of indigenous communities in Panama, Central America. In addition, the program will include a field study of the history, characteristics, and the challenges facing Panama City.

You will take one, two, or all three of these courses, depending on your academic interests:
BIO 103 - Man and the Environment
ENG 102 - Composition
GEG 150 - GIS and Mapping Principles

Field Travel: June 6th - 16th
Estimated Cost: $2,500 ( includes round-trip airfare, accommodation, and transportation)

Field Itinerary:
Day 1: Panama City
Day 2-3: Naso Indigenous Reservation
Day 4-8: ITEC Research Station, Bocas del Toro
Day 9-10: Panama City
Day 11: Chicago
